MATC Made My Fes Trip Possible!

They say that "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade." But sometimes we forget that in order to make sweet lemonade we need a lot of sugar. I was in desperate need of sugar... I had a full nine-day itinerary set for traveling throughout Northern Morocco with a travel group. But on the morning of day four, life threw me some sour lemons. I missed a step going down my hotel stairs and heard my ankle pop. My first ever sprain (which left me quite immobile) on my first morning in Fes, the city that had inspired me to travel all the way to Morocco from New York City. I’m not one to mope or feel bad for too long so after receiving emergency care I was quick to accept the fate that I was bedridden and would possibly be canceling my future travel plans to return to the States early. But after getting some good rest, I was feeling a little better and discovered my injury was most likely not a serious fracture that warranted a hospital visit. With this, I brainstormed for a creative solution. What would be the silver lining to this unfortunate travel story? Long story short, it was Morocco Accessible Travel Consultants and the opportunity to cross paths with such a genuine person like Jeremy who represents it. With nothing to lose, I quite blindly gave MATC a hopeful call not knowing what would come out of it. He even orchestrated the details of smoothly traveling to/from my hotel for the initial meetup. To be on a wheelchair tour in Morocco was definitely not something I had expected when I decided to go on holiday to the charming country, but in hindsight, I truly mean it when I say I would have it no other way as my day was beyond meaningful, memorable and enjoyable.
