Day 1 Marrakech/Arrival D

Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel/riad by your private transport driver.  If time and desire allows, you will have the opportunity to head out to explore on your own.  There is not a shortage of things to experience and see in Marrakech!

Dinner: At Hotel/Riad

Day 2 Marrakech B, D

After breakfast you will have a guided tour of Marrakech – the southern pearl of Morocco. You will discover the Palace of the Bahia, the Saadian Tombs, the Menara Basin and many other hidden treasures. After lunch you will continue with the tour on to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Djemaa el-Fna, one of the center attractions of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and mouth-watering barbeque pits, the square is well worth a visit. The tour will conclude with exploring treasures in the souk (market) of Marrakech.

Day 3 Dades Gorges B, D

Today you start your journey towards the Sahara Desert!  You will follow the Atlas Mountains to some of the most incredible gorges in Morocco. Stop for lunch at Elkalaa of M’Gouna (the city of roses) and take in the gorges before settling in at your Kasbah in in Boumalne near the Dades Gorges.

Day 4 Sahara Desert B, D

In the morning, you will head up the imposing Torda Gorge (600 feet/180 meters).  Cooler temperatures and majestic rock formations provide for a spectacular morning drive! In the afternoon, you will set out across the barren desert land in your 4-wheel drive vehicle. Then – set off by camel for a 2-hour trek out to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents!  Adapted camel saddles are available! **You are the best judge of whether this will be desirable/possible for you. Alternatively, take a 4×4 out to the camp or stay at the auberge at the edge of the desert.**

Day 5 Ouarzazate B, D 

After seeing the wonders and majesty of the Sahara Desert, head to Ourzazate en route to Agadir. A popular destination for filmmakers, scenery is not in short supply.   Enjoy a rest day in the afternoon at the beautiful riad and enjoy this oasis in the Saharan side of Morocco!

Day 6 Agadir B, D

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, head out for a morning tour of Aït Ben Haddou.  If needed, you can rent our Joelette Trekking Wheelchair and really explore this unique ksar (group of earthen buildings surrounded by high walls). The wheelchair is a single-wheel wheelchair with 2 assistants that enable you to navigate the rugged terrain of Aït Ben Haddou in style! After your tour, continue on to the coastal city of Agadir.  Beautiful weather and beaches await you as you prepare yourself for pure relaxation!

Day 7 Agadir B, D

Destroyed by an earthquake in 1960, Agadir has now been rebuilt and is one of the most modern cities in Morocco.  Reportedly, Agadir has 340 days of sunshine per year and leads to warm waters and, often, swimming year round! Beaches, modern amenities, and beautiful accommodations make for a little piece of heaven on earth.  Ask us about renting a beach wheelchair to really enjoy your time in Agadir while reducing barriers!

Day 8 Essaouira B, D

It is on to the coastal city of Essaouira, a picturesque fishing town, lying on the southwest coast of Morocco.  With an exquisite beach to the south, Essaouira has become one of Morocco’s most popular coastal towns.  Many of the country’s wood carvers and artists make Essaouira their home.

Dinner: At Hotel/Riad

Day 9 Essaouira/Marrakech B, D

Spend your day in Essaouira OR in Marrakech – whichever you prefer.  A quick 2-hour drive allows for you to personalize your trip even more to your liking.  So whether you want to savor fresh fish right by the port for lunch or return to the bustling Marrakech medina, you have options!

Day 10 Marrakech/Departure B

With lifelong memories, stories of your journey to share and souvenirs in your suitcase, your driver will make sure you get to the Marrakech Menara Airport with plenty of time for departure.
